How To Find New Good Keywords For Your AdWords Ads…
To be honest the full title of this post should have been:
“How To Find New Good Keywords For Your AdWords Ads For Affiliate Programs”
Probably many of you already know this technique, but if someone doesn’t here it is.
You simply have to load the AdWords External Keywords Tool:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
The tool allows you to select 2 different options:
1. “Descriptive words or phrases”
2. “Website content”
We use the second option, and enter the URL of the main site we are promoting as affiliates.
As an example we can use “fatloss4idiots.com”
(you can click the image to enlarge it)
As you can see in the example the tool returns many keywords results, grouped by terms.
It autamatically tells us that there are not only the groups including the keywords “weight loss”, but also other groups of keywords like “low carb”, “diet plan” and “diet”, “fat burning” and others.
Not only, it shows “Advertiser Competition” and “Approx Search Volume” both for the current and average month.
What I recommend is to scroll down to the end of the page and use the “Download all keywords:” feature, using csv or csv for excel.
That way you can use Excel or OpenOffice to load the keywords list and sort it as you like.
You will find that the green bar of Advertiser Competition is not there, instead there is a value included amongst 0 and 1, with 0 no competition and 1 biggest competition. This can be very useful to determine good keywords with decent traffic and low competition you can target in your AdWords advertising for affiliate programs.
I am using this technique for the campaigns I am running with review pages created using Google Nemesis and it could work also for you.
