Here are three tips that you can use to improve your results.

The first tip in case you have this problem is to leave the search network and move to the content network.

This way your AdWords ads will no longer run on the results page of the Google search engine site, and will instead appear on the sites that participate in the Google AdSense service.

In your AdWords account the system will show you which sites are available, and if you want you can select which sites will display your ads for your selected keywords, and which you don’t want to use for your pay per click advertising.

It can take some time and some work to study those sites, but it can benefit your AdWords campaigns.

Here is the second tip. If you see that you still pay too much for your keywords because of the competition you can try to switch to the pay per impression mode.

This is available on the content network and can be activated on the bidding options.

You will have to select the “focus on impressions - use maximum CPM bids”, and enter how much you want to pay for 1000 impressions of your ad on the selected sites of the content network.
